Prayer is central to helping expand the Kingdom in the Muslim world.
In some ways, field workers are like living prayers. They live prophetically, pouring out their worship of Jesus Christ and declaring that His Kingdom is coming amid a people who do not yet know Jesus Christ. Many missionaries take this role seriously. They know the power of praying on site with insight.
This is why prayer walking is so important. Prayer walks familiarize us with the specific needs of an area while declaring God’s freedom of over it and covering it with prayer.
You can join field workers in this task by taking a virtual prayer walk. Thanks to technology like Google Earth, you can virtually visit your worker’s city and even travel through their neighborhood.
As you view their country, ask God to show you the physical and spiritual needs of the area, the pray for those needs. Ask the Lord to open the hearts of the people who live to hear and receive the Good News.
As you familiarize yourself with the area, ask your worker to share specific ways to pray over certain neighborhoods, buildings, and landmarks.
You may very well be the first person to visit virtually and pray over these places that are so desperate for God’s touch. Who knows what blessings you may unleash over a city through your virtual prayer walk!
